We are delighted to launch the findings and resources from the RADICAL project. RADICAL is an ESRC-funded partnership project with the Centre for Children’s Rights, QUB, University of Strathclyde, Ulster University, Belfast City Council and the Scouts NI.

For two years, academics and young co-researchers have been collecting and analysing data on understandings and experiences of respect and disrespect among children and young people in NI.

The showcase event was attended by The Lord Mayor of Belfast and the NI Commissioner for Children and Young people. Co-researchers from the Scouts NI and Belfast City Youth Council spoke about the project, the research findings and some of the resources.

At the event we launched short films and research briefings on topics such as: education, youth work, sports, policing and justice, public space, the specific experiences of children and young people with disability and those identifying as LGBTQ.
