Young Voices Call for Change in Powerful New Blog on Age Discrimination
A powerful new blog by Dominican College student Grace Allison makes the case for legislating against age discrimination, drawing on young people’s voices and evidence from the RADICAL research project.
A powerful new blog written by Dominican College student Grace Allison is shining a spotlight on age discrimination — and making the case for legislative change through the voices of children and young people.
During her recent work placement with the Centre for Children’s Rights, Grace immersed herself in university life, attending lectures, supporting data analysis from the Kids Life and Times and Young Life and Times surveys, and contributing to policy-focused work.
Drawing on findings from the RADICAL project — which explores children and young people’s experiences of respect and disrespect — Grace uses real evidence to argue for the urgent need to legislate against age discrimination.
Published on Queen’s Policy Engagement (QPol), this blog is the first in a new series written by children and young people, placing youth perspectives at the centre of policy debate.
