Dr Edona Maloku, Deputy Minister for Education, Kosovo, has been awarded a Fellowship by the Social Change Initiative that will be hosted in our Centre for Shared Education. The aim of the Fellowship is to develop an online module, to be delivered in partnership with Queen's, on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to help interested users (teachers and students, policy makers, funders, international NGOs and scholars) understand key issues of division in post-conflict Kosovo. Colleagues in CSE have a longstanding working relationship with Dr Maloku, having previously worked with her to develop and support knowledge exchange activities between key stakeholders interested in the potential for shared education across a number of States in south east Europe. Dr Maloku has visited Northern Ireland on several occasions, meeting teachers and pupils involved in shared education locally to learn about the model and its potential application in Kosovo.
