In February 2023, Palestinian and Jewish colleagues, Muzna Awayed-Bishara and Dafna Yitzhki, from the School of Education, Tel Aviv University visited the Centre for Shared Education to deliver presentations on the experiences of shared education in Israel. These were based on chapters published by them in the edited collection, Activist Pedagogy and Shared Education in Divided Societies: International Perspectives and Next Practices (2022). Muzna drew on the experiences of Palestinian teachers to explore power relations and epistemological tensions between the hegemonic and the marginal, while Dafna reflected on the challenges and potential benefits of English language teaching as a medium for delivering shared education in Israel.  This visit was funded by the British Council.
