Clinical Trials Day 20th May 2016
The NICRF staged its second open day in its three year history to coincide with the international event to show case the projects currently supported by the unit and to demonstrate the services and resources on offer.
On the day tours of the department were led by Professor Judy Bradley while staff conducted free health check for visitors after which they could attend a demonstration of some of the cardiac services available in the unit. Visitors then had the chance to view posters and talk to some of the researcher’s active in the department over lunch.
The day was a great success with attendees from a wide range of backgrounds including; Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) representatives, Academics, management and students from both QUB and UU and a broad range of Belfast Trust clinical staff.
In conjunction with International Clinical Trials Day CRF (Clinical Research Facilities) across the UK opened their doors to visitors.

The NICRF is seeking to increase use and as such welcomes contact from investigators to discuss how it could support their research programmes.
