This project is focused on examining the effects of participation in the Japanese education system on beliefs and values about religious and scientific topics.  We will collaborate with six schools, covering primary and secondary education, that are affiliated with either the national Tokyo Gakugei University (TGU) in Tokyo or the private Christian Rikkyo University located in both Tokyo and Saitama.

This project is one of many projects examining these topics in a number of diverse contexts. Please see the central project announcement from PI Cristine Legare's lab at the University of Texas at Austin.
