Apprenticeships starting September 2026
Applications are submitted online via our website. Applications open at midday on Monday 1st September 2025. The deadline for submission is midday on Monday, 17th November 2025.

For applications and payment submitted by midday on Wednesday 1st October 2025 the fee is £250. For applications and payment submitted after midday on 1st October 2025 to midday on 17th November 2025 the fee is £350. Please note your application will not be complete until payment has been received.

The Lord Kerr Bar Scholarship 2025
This Scholarship is given in memory of Baron Kerr of Tonaghmore (1948-2020), Law alumnus of Queen’s University Belfast (1969), former Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland and Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. This award covers payment of IPLS fees for the one-year IPLS Bar course. Currently (2025/26) £10,800. For further information on eligibility, terms and conditions and application process click here
Bar of Northern Ireland IPLS Scholarship
This Scholarship is given by the Bar of Northern Ireland as part of the engagement programme to widen access to the Bar. For further information on eligibility, terms and conditions and application process click here
Centenary Bursary Scheme - Law Society of Northern Ireland
The Scheme has been developed to mark the Centenary of the Law Society of Northern Ireland. This Centenary Bursary Scheme will provide financial assistance to an aspiring entrant to the solicitors' profession in Northern Ireland for the year 2025/26.
