QUB Irish Studies was represented at 'The Future of Irish Studies' conference in Leuven

The event, co-sponsored by our partners at the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies at Notre Dame University, and the Leuven Centre for Irish Studies, was held at the Irish College Leuven, 26-28 June 2025.

Irish Studies at Queen's was represented by four ECRs: Roisin Nic Liam (Irish), Constantin Torve (History), Dr Susie Deedigan (ARINS) and Dr Ciara McAllister (English), who all presented on their research, as well as by the Director, Prof Peter Gray.

The conference involved participants from multiple centres and countries, and is intended to pave the way towards the development of a Global Network for Irish Studies, building on an event we hosted at Queen's in June 2024.
