Academic honesty is fundamental to the values of Queen’s and the University takes any instances of academic misconduct very seriously. Students should not be allowed to obtain for themselves, or for anyone else, an unfair advantage as a result of academic dishonesty and, when discovered, the following procedures will be invoked:
- For Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students, and for Postgraduate Research students in relation to plagiarism or duplication in unpublished work submitted for assessment, the Procedures for Dealing with Academic Offences will apply. The following Guide is intended to assist such students.
- For all other allegations of academic misconduct against Postgraduate Research students, the Regulations Governing the Allegation and Investigation of Misconduct in Research will apply. Therefore, this Guide is not relevant.
