The following regulations should be read in conjunction with the University’s General Regulations:

1. The Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology Drug Discover is only available to those who are enrolled for the MSc (Res) and who are not able to achieve the award of Masters.

2. Candidates who achieve 120 CAT points from the available taught modules will be eligible for award of Postgraduate Diploma.

EDUCATIONAL AIMS OF PROGRAMME

Acquire the background knowledge and lab based skills to understand the principles of drug discovery and development.

Participate in novel and high-quality research drug discovery projects with the aim of making an impact on the future of healthcare

Critically analyse scientific literature and show proficiency in scientific writing of research articles.

Recognise and employ key skills in time management, personal management and team building

Demonstrate ability to incorporate innovation into project development.

Further develop the capacity for self-directed and life-long learning

Acquisition of research skills through completion of Research Project
