The overall aim of the MSc in Advanced Professional Practice is to offer a high quality supportive teaching and learning environments that provide graduates with:

NotesTo qualify for the Master of Science in Advanced Professional Practice students must take and pass modules worth 120 CATS points and a dissertation worth 60 CATS points [180 CATS points total].The MSc consists of two discrete Stages (1 & 2) that comprise taught modules of study and a dissertation. Students must successfully take and pass a total of six taught modules (120 CATS points - stage 1), including: one compulsory research module (NUR7010 OR NUR7002); TWO pathway specific modules (choose from HSN7020, HSN7077 and HSN7038); and three optional modules that may be selected either from other specific pathways or the general pathways (see list of modules) and a dissertation (60 CATS points – stage 2). Successful completion of all Stage 1 requirements [120 CATS] is essential before students can proceed to Stage 2: the Dissertation element of the MSc. Please note that NMP7002 Health Assessment has an OSCE which is Pass/Fail. |
