Certain toxic chemicals, their precursors and specified variants are subject to strict legal requirements and licensing conditions under the Chemical Weapons Convention. Specified variants include isotopically labelled analogues, stereoisomers (both optical and geometric) and corresponding salts. The Safety Service must be notified immediately if Schools / Centres intend to produce, process, consume, import or export any Scheduled chemicals or specified variants as the University is required to make an annual declaration of such.
