Employee Assistance Programme
The University aims to ensure that all staff have access to the appropriate resources and support that they need to thrive both professionally and personally.
Balancing work, home, and everyday life can be challenging, and it’s common for individuals to feel under pressure. The University’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), provided by Spectrum.Life, offers the necessary support and resources to help staff manage these demands.
Confidential support for personal and professional issues
Through the University’s EAP partner, Spectrum.Life, staff can access confidential support for personal and professional issues that may affect their home life, work, health, and overall wellbeing.
Depending on the nature of the issue, advice, guidance, or confidential, independent counselling and support services will be provided by fully qualified professionals, and all services are available at no cost.
Staff can access the EAP helpline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Call free on 0800 086 9934.
When using the EAP, please provide the unique PIN QUBSTAFF and follow the steps.
Resources include counsellor support and information services for issues such as:
- Neurodiversity

The helpline also provides support, advice and guidance to managers if they have a concern about a staff member and they need to understand what to do.
