The Service is for
The International Certification of Digital Literacy (ICDL) is an internationally recognised qualification. Queen's University is an accredited ICDL test centre, operated by the IT Training and Assessment Unit, and offers ICDL and ICDL Advanced to current staff and students.
ICDL: There are 7 ICDL modules and the ICDL qualification is awarded on the successful completion of all modules:
- IT Security for Users
- Using the Computer and Managing Files/IT User Fundamentals
- Word Processing
- Web Browsing and Communication/Using the Internet and Email
ICDL Advanced: The ICDL Advanced is a higher level qualification with 4 modules:
- Word Processing
A separate certificate is awarded for successfully passing a test for each module (you do not need to take all 4 modules).

The Service is available during core working hours 09:00 – 17:00
The Service is supported from 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, except for Public and agreed Queen’s holidays. Details of which can be found at http://www.qub.ac.uk/sites/StaffGateway/WorkingLife/Holidays/

Queen’s Information Services is committed to providing excellent customer service and has put in place a standard response time for all Incidents & Requests (Available Separately). Any Incidents or Requests in relation to the Service will be responded to within the agreed timeframe. Please note that these response times refer to normal supported hours.
