A new fully funded PhD opportunity is available working with CESI Fellows Dr Karen Galway (School of Nursing and Midwifery) and Dr Liam O’Hare (School of Social Sciences Education and Social Work). The successful candidate will also be part of CESI’s Innovation Zones team and a UK wide National Institute of Health Research team.

The project is in the exciting area of social prescribing and as part of a wider NIHR funded study, the PhD fellowship will focus specifically on the referral mechanisms involved in connecting people to community based support. This will involve classifying and examining social prescribing approaches to supporting health and wellbeing via Community Led Organisations (CLOs).
