You have received an offer - what next?
If you have received an offer, we look forward to welcoming you on the PGCE course. The next stages of the admissions process are outlined below.
You should accept or decline an offer of a place through the Postgraduate Applications Portal within two weeks of the date of your offer. Admission to the PGCE is competitive and waiting lists are in operation. Therefore, an early response would enable us to offer the place to another applicant.
You should also refer to the notes on ‘Conditional Offers – Notification of Examination Results’ and ‘Unconditional Offers’ in the section 'Your have received an offer - what next'.
Applications for deferred entry are not normally permitted. If you are unable to accept the offer this year, you should re-apply for entry for September 2024.
The PGCE Offer Holder Guide (PDF, 817KB) explains the next steps and includes information on the return of forms and additional documentation. Please note that there are a number of different deadlines.
The Offer Holder Guide includes:

- AccessNI Enhanced Disclosure
- Confirmation of Understanding and Consent to Share
- Health Declaration

School Placements (Primary and Post-Primary)
