Lawrence is a PhD Researcher at Belfast School of Architecture and the Built Environment at Ulster University. His research project is titled Saving Earth from Humans: Earth-Focussed Sustainable Development and seeks to develop a sustainability evaluation framework to allow architectural product manufacturers and specifiers to demonstrate that their products can help to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Lawrence holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Zero Carbon Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, an MA in 3D Design from Technological University Dublin and a BDes (Hons) in Product and Furniture Design from Ulster University.
