Arriving in Belfast

We're looking forward to welcoming you to Queen’s University Belfast in January 2022! At this point, you may be thinking about travel plans. Below is some guidance for airport arrivals and getting to your accommodation.

Arrivals at Belfast Airports

There are 2 airports in Belfast: George Best Belfast City Airport (3 miles from the city centre); Belfast International Airport (13 miles from the city centre).

Both have available bus and taxi transportation links and it’s really easy to make your own way from both airports. Taxi costs may vary but typically cost £10-15 from Belfast City Airport and £30-£35 from Belfast International Airport to Queen’s Accommodation.

If you take a bus from the airport to the city centre, it is recommended you then take a taxi to your accommodation at Queen’s (it will cost approximately £5). You can find more information on our Travel to Belfast webpage.
