Queen’s University makes a significant civic contribution, working with partner organisations locally and globally to tackle today’s most pressing challenges. The Social and Civic Responsibility pillar within the University’s Strategy 2030 reflects institutional commitment to making a real and lasting impact on our place. Together with the Greater Shankill Partnership, a community-led regeneration agency in the Greater Shankill area of Belfast, we have a shared commitment to the framework that is the Greater Shankill Children and Young People Zone (the Zone). The origins of the relationship between the University and the Greater Shankill Partnership lie primarily in the Zone, but engagement between our two organisations over the last decade has been high in volume and output across a number of areas.
