K-Pop Society at Queen's
Student Society
The QUB KPOP Society has been active since April 2018 and has since then, aimed to bring together a community in Belfast of likeminded Kpop fans to share their love of Kpop and meet new people.
The Society has brought people together through a diverse range of events such as our popular club nights, our performance teams and dance classes and our more casual events such as Games Nights and Photocard Decorating events.
The Society has also achieved so much through winning Society of the Year in 2021 and partaking in King’s College London Kings of KPOP where we placed 4th in the Wildcard category. Our Society hopes to continue to spread joy and to bring more KPOP fans together.
Jamie Duffy
Alum and Pianist
Jamie Duffy is a 22 year old musician and songwriter from Ireland. Having grown up in the small border village of Glaslough into a very musical family, Jamie blends traditional, popular and classical influences into his music, to create sounds that are beautiful, evocative and unique.
His debut single is a piano piece titled “Solas” which means ‘light’ in Irish, and was composed at the end of 2021 in Belfast and recorded live in the iconic Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin.
