2020 Undergraduate Virtual Open Day Festival Crack The Code Competition Terms And Conditions

  1. By entering this competition, participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. All entry instructions also form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. This promotion is open to prospective undergraduate Queen's University Belfast students, except staff of Queen’s University Belfast, their agents and agencies and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
  3. To enter, participants must correctly crack the code by entering the correct four digit code into the competition platform, hosted on Gleam.
  4. The entry period is: Monday 31 August 2020 00:01hrs (Start Date) – Sunday 13 September 2019 23:59hrs (End Date).
  5. Entrants are limited to one code breaker entry per person, per day. When entrants choose to share their unique link, they will be given 5 extra entries into the competition every time someone enters the competition via their unique link.
  6. All entries must be received by 23:59hrs (GMT) on the final day of the competition entry period. Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete, or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by the Promoter.
  7. Entrants must provide the following necessary details to complete registration: First name, surname, email address, phone number and correct entry code. All information provided will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
  8. The winners will be selected at random by an electronic draw and contacted by Friday 18 September 2020. If the prize winners do not respond after two attempts to contact them, they will forfeit the right to claim the prize and the Promoter will choose another winner.
  9. If any technical failure, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter, corrupts or affects the administration, integrity or fairness of the promotion, then the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate affected entries.
  10. One first prize winner will receive the following prize: One (1) free first semester non-catered student accommodation at Queen’s Accommodation at Queen’s University Belfast, for the first semester of the 2021 academic year (13 weeks) in a single en suite room in Queen's Accommodation BT1/BT2/BT9. Prize includes Wi-Fi, security, free off-peak membership of Queen’s Sport, contents insurance, 24/7 maintenance and reception support. Value of prize: £1,600.00.
  11. Six runner-up winners will receive the following prize: One (1) Queen's University Belfast hoodie. Value of prize: £35.00
  12. The prizewinner(s) acknowledges and accepts that they are responsible for their own safety in association with the redemption of their prize and that the Promoter accepts no liability for any injury incurred by the prizewinner. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies accept no liability for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with the promotion and/or prize, other than such liability that cannot be excluded by law and any such liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permissible by law.
  13. If the first  prize winner is not able to join Queen’s University Belfast as a first-year undergraduate student in September 2021, or stops being a Queen’s University Belfast student throughout the course of the prize period, for any reason, they forfeit the entirety of the prize.
  14. There are no cash or other alternatives to the stated prize and, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the promoter, the prize will only be awarded directly to the winning participants at Queen’s University Belfast.
  15. The winner will not be able to refund or transfer to another prize.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or terminate this promotion and these terms and conditions without prior notice, at any time.
  17. In the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute with similar prizes of equal or greater value.
  18. The decision of Queen's University Belfast's Strategic Marketing and Communication Department is final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into.
  19. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated withFacebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Weibo, WeChat or any other social media platforms.
  20. The winner may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the competition and the winner shall participate in such activity on the Promoter’s reasonable request.
  21. Names, email addresses, and/or telephone will be collected and used to process entries. The winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent.
  22. The winner consents to the use by the Promoter, both during and for a period of five years after the closing date of the competition, of the winners’ photographs, quotes, names, voices and images for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites and social media accounts hosted by the Promoter) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the competition, all entrants consent to the same.
  23. This Promotion is subject to Northern Irish law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Irish courts.
