Managing University Transitions

Welcome to our Transitions Video Series.

In this series, our team of Student Disability & Wellbeing Advisers want to help you Step In, Step Up to, and Step Forward from, university life. Whether you are just starting your university journey as a first-year, moving on to the next level of your course, about to begin that all-important final year, or beginning a Master's or PhD, you are embarking on a period of huge personal change. As well as a sense of excitement, we are sure there are some things that you are anxious about. That is natural.

All of these are transitions, which are not always easy for everyone.

Video 1: Step In

STEP IN to university life. Whether you are just starting university as a first-year, moving on to the next level of your course, about to begin that all-important final year or beginning a Master's or PhD - you are embarking on a period of huge personal change.

Video 2: Step Up

STEP UP to university life. Once you have settled in, the transition may still be difficult for you. Your academic work may begin to step up a gear, things can become more full on, and your course may become more demanding as you progress.

Video 3: Step Forward

STEP FORWARD from university life. Coming to the end of your degree is a time to reflect on your journey and experiences so far, to set goals for the future, and to gain confidence in moving towards those goals.
