Founded as Queen's College Belfast in 1845 and gaining independent university status in 1908, the campus is steeped in history with a number of Nobel Prize winning alumni. 

Queen's University encompasses over 250 buildings, 98 of which have special architectural interest, and grounds extending to over 100 acres.
