Case studies

  • Madlug

The Graduate School at Queen’s is proud to have partnered with Madlug in several ways since it was founded in 2015.   Collaborations have included Madlug being a project host for the CMI Entrepreneurial Practice Unit where learners were presented with the challenge of how to develop the corporate market of the organisation, Madlug Your Business.  Design teams presented five different proposals, which were very well received by the organisation.

  • Energia

As part of our Master Your Leadership programme, Energia challenged six teams of students to research and present their ideas on how they could take a lead in communicating with its customers, energy consumers, and the broad business community to progress their sustainability practices in line with the climate change agenda.

The students presented comprehensive research and shared their insights on best practice in other industries to a panel of Directors from Energia. The leader of the panel Derek Scully, (Head of Corporate Affairs) was not only pleased with the quality and depth of the analysis but said he was given a range of very practical and powerful ideas that could be built into the Energia corporate communications strategies. We were delighted to welcome back Energia for a second challenge as a result of the positive impact from the initial partnership.
