This year the centre for Intelligent Autonomous Manufacturing Systems (i-AMS) at Queen's University will run it's 3rd Robotics Open Day.
This will be one of the many events that contribute to the UK Robotics Week which is organised by the UK-Robotics & Autonomous Systems Network (UK-RAS). The event will take place over two days, i.e., 21st and 22nd June 2019. On Friday the 21st June selected schools will be invited to explore and participate with the exhibits. On Saturday 22nd June the exhibition will be open to the public from 10am - 3pm.
As part of the robotics week there will be two national competitions that encourage young people discover the potential of robotics and autonomous systems, and to demonstrate what can be done.
School Robot Competition
Why not participate in the competition that is designed for 8 - 14 year old school children.
Download the application and let your imagination run wild, and discover the power of the science, technology and mathematics you have learnt in school.
Sign up your school at <https://www.ukras.org/school-robot-competition/>.
Get a move on as the deadline for entries is the 9th June 2019.
UK-RAS Manufacturing Robotics Challenge
As part of UK Robotics Week 2019, Sheffield Robotics, Enabling Sciences for Intelligent Manufacturing, and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) will be hosting an international manufacturing robotics challenge for young researchers, developers, and industrialists working in robotics and digital manufacturing technologies.
