Engaging with Your Course: What International Students Need to Know
We hope you’re settling into your course and enjoying life in Belfast! As an international student, there are a few important things to know about engaging with your course of study.
Why Engagement Matters
Queen’s holds a special licence that allows us to sponsor international students to study in the UK. This sponsorship is regulated by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), and we must follow strict rules to keep that licence.
That means we need to be able to show that you’re actively and consistently engaging with your course — attending classes, submitting assignments, and participating in university life.
