At the first in a series of breakfast-time leadership events on 26 April 2016, guests were welcomed to Riddel Hall by representatives from the Chief Executives' Club at Queen's (CEC), the Leadership Institute at Queen's, and the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Breakfast was served in the sunny Courtyard as Professor David Jones, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and Students for Queen's University, welcomed guests to Riddel Hall.
Linda Brown, Director of the IoD in Northern Ireland gave some opening remarks to the audience and then welcomed the guest speaker, Chief Constable George Hamilton, to the lectern. Mr Hamilton spoke to the audience about the challenges he has faced in his career in the PSNI and how he has overcome them.
Mr Hamilton's presentation was followed by a Q&A with the audience, chaired by Anne Clydesdale, Director of the Leadership Institute.
Thank you to all who attended the first event in this series; we look forward to many more!
