You don't have to be a genius to undertake Postgraduate Research. It's a great way to continue exploring your passions, progress in your field, and gain valuable experience that employers want.

The transferable skills that you will develop during a research degree are in high demand.  Completing a PhD shows employers that you have excellent project management skills, the ability to think independently and critically, solve problems and communicate effectively.

We have 79 different subjects on offer for Postgraduate Research so don't be fooled into thinking PhDs are only for rocket scientists and cancer researchers.  From Accounting to Translation, there's a supervisor and an opportunity for everyone.  We also encourage prospective researchers to submit their own proposals if your idea doesn't slot in to any of our currently advertised opportunities. That's the beauty of research- it's about breaking new boundaries and doing new things.

We are delighted to invite you to attend our online event for those considering Postgraduate Research study.

Hear from our academics and current research students about what PhD study is really like, find out about funding opportunities available to you and ask LIVE questions to our student panel.
