Jenny also presented a Keynote and co-convened a session on Disaster Monitoring and Risk Assessment at the International Conference on Silk-roads Disaster Risk Reduction and Sustainable Development (SiDRR). More than 780 senior researchers and academics, policy‐makers, practitioners, universities and institution leaders, organizations and private sectors from over 40 countries participated this Conference. The “Alliance of International Science Organizations on Disaster Risk Reduction” was established. Jenny, as President of the International Association of Mathematical Geoscientists (IAMG) has been invited to join this alliance which will strengthen science‐based disaster risk reduction across the four stated outcomes of data and knowledge, dissemination, monitoring and review, and capacity building. The session was very well attended.
