Teaching

At Queens University Belfast, students study geographic information science (GIS) and remote sensing - both are key to understanding why things happen where they do and why things happen in certain places - from natural disasters, extreme weather events to the movement of people and development of global pandemics.

We equip our GI Science students to be able to use maps and spatial thinking and problem-based approaches to navigate their way to support the whole of society towards a sustainable future for our planet.
