Geographic Information Science

The Centre for GIS and Geomatics is an interdisciplinary research and teaching centre for Geographical Information Science and spatial data analysis, based in the School of the Natural and Built Environment at Queen's University Belfast.

The Centre provides a dynamic learning and research space for academics, students and our partners to explore the world we live in and address critical global issues through a place-based spatial perspective.

‘Place matters - where things happen and where we live matters. We welcome you to join us in exploring the power of mapping and geographic data science to study our earth and human interaction with our planet from the local, regional to global scale.’ Director of the Centre for GIS and Geomatics, Prof Jennifer McKinley
