This page details how you can make the most of your personal time while studying at Queen's and help you to meet new friends, from volunteering to joining clubs and societies, there is something for everyone. We have international student led events bi-weekly and wellbeing on Wednesday events, most of which are free and are a great opportunity to unwind and meet new people.
Why not join the 5,000 students who are involved in volunteering at Queen’s every year?
Clubs and Societies
There are so many reasons to get involved in Clubs and Societies whilst at Queen’s but many students find it's a great way to make friends and meet like-minded people.
International Student Events
The International Students Events Programme is designed to provide a range of events for new and returning international students.
There will be regular events, including:
- City Sightseeing Bus Tours
- Arts and Crafts
- Coffee, Chat and Boardgames
- QFT Night
- ...and much more!
Wellbeing on Weekdays
Our Wellbeing on Weekdays events are based around the Public Health Agency's 'Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing': Connect, Keep Learning, Be Active, Take Notice, and Give. Events are hosted by Mind Your Mood throughout the academic year with each event focusing on one of the 5 steps.
These events give you an informal way to connect with fellow students, and to maintain and improve your mental and physical wellbeing.
Our sport’s facilities are highly rated by our students
