My Queen's Student Round Up

Start Smart: Meet Your Support Teams

Starting uni in a new city can be equal parts exciting and nerve-wracking. Whether you’re arriving from around the corner or across the globe, adjusting to student life takes time. The good news? You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

The Wellbeing and Accessible Learning Drop-in is your go-to place at Queen's for support. We’re here to help you settle in, manage challenges, and connect you with the services that can make a real difference. From dealing with homesickness or flatmate fallouts to signposting help with finances, academic stress or emotional wellbeing, we’ve got you.

You’ll find us in Support Rooms 2 & 3 on the first floor of One Elmwood, weekdays from 11am - 3pm. Just scan the QR code at the waiting area near the Student Information Point, complete the quick form, and take a seat. We aim to keep things warm, welcoming, and confidential. Most appointments last around 15 minutes - enough time to talk things through and figure out next steps together.

We know uni life can come with unexpected stressors - but how you respond matters more than avoiding them altogether. If something’s weighing on you, speak to us early. We can’t take away every challenge, but we can help you feel more in control and supported.

Start smart. Ask questions. Reach out. Your academic journey doesn’t have to be perfect - but it should feel supported.
