We want our medical students to explore primary care in more depth at an earlier stage of their undergraduate studies
Academic year 22-23 was the first time our year 3 students had been placed in General Practice. Their feedback on the experience has been fantastic and the GP tutors taking these groups have thoroughly enjoyed it too.
For academic year 2023-24 all our students will be in groups of 6 or less. They will be in the GP practice for 6 consecutive Wednesday mornings.
Practices are encouraged to take 2 groups of students "back to back" over the 12 weeks. There are 2 blocks of 12 weeks (Autumn and Spring) and you can take students in both semesters
The student and tutor guide is available at this link Year 3 Tutor and Student Guide
Thanks to the feedback for our current tutors, some of the suggested activities are currently being updated
