AMENDMENTS TO PROGRAMMES

From 2017-18

Queen’s is committed to keeping our programmes up to date to ensure that our students receive a current and engaging educational experience within an innovative learning and assessment environment.  This commitment means that changes to programmes can occur as part of our normal academic cycle of programme development and review.  These changes are based on many factors, including ensuring each programme remains contemporary and viable; improving the quality of educational services; responding to student and/or external feedback; or meeting the requirements of an accrediting body.

As part of the University's terms and conditions for entry, we have committed to ensuring applicants and students are made aware of changes to programmes as early as possible.

AMENDMENTS TO PROGRAMMES

From 2020-21

Queen’s is committed to keeping our programmes up to date to ensure that our students receive a current and engaging educational experience within an innovative learning and assessment environment.

This commitment means that changes to programmes can occur as part of our normal academic cycle of programme development and review.  These changes are based on many factors, including ensuring each programme remains contemporary and viable; improving the quality of educational services; responding to student and/or external feedback; or meeting the requirements of an accrediting body.

This year, in addition to our standard changes as part of our quality monitoring, we have also had to make some changes to the way we teach and assess in light of COVID-19. These were previously communicated to new and returning students through our campus commitments.

The most significant major change is that, in line with government guidance, we will be implementing a blend of face-to-face teaching and virtual Connected Learning in order to facilitate social distancing requirements. This blended approach may also require changes to assessment, sequencing of modules/content or other necessary changes.

Please note that there may be further changes updates to this list should programme teams have to make any additional changes.
